Google does it again

Google started Google Maps a while back. It was pretty good. then they added satellite photois, which was even cooler.
Now they have Google Moon. pictures of the moon (what's available, anyway)
It's great. For some fun, though, make sure and zoom in all the way!

wow. what a strange trip.

What's keeping me from reading "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" tonight? Mainly soem packing for the move, but when my good friend (and pusher of tattoos) Freeway called, and said, "Hey, wanna go to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory?" How could I say no? So, we ran up to the theatre, and really enjoyed the movie. I liked the original, but it's not something I know by heart. I think that this is a very good remake, though.

sitting here sending some emails, and HBO's Def Poetry is on. I like some poetry, but some of this stuff doesn't make a whole lot of sense. "What makes a 'def' poet?" you may ask? well, as near as I can tell, someone talking a little too loud who moves their hands around a lot. But I will say this. Wyclef Jean was pretty good.

I'm so sad.

and by sad, I don't mean distraught, I mean, just freakin' sad! It's about 10 minutes after 1 in the morning and what have I been doing? Yes, I gave in to the dark side and went and waited in line for 'Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince'.
I saw some stunning examples of humanity. There was a weird kid who latched onto me, and he was ok. The vapid, brain dead bim behind me going on about how she LOVES philosophy, and that's why she LOVES Nick (who, by the way, I feel so sorry for) etc. A solid 20 minutes of free form, verbal diarrhea. Wow.
At any rate. I love reading, and I love the Harry Potter series, so I suppose it's no surprise I went and got the book.
you may now fo about your business.

Harry Potter mania.

Wow. I haven't seen people this wild about a weird little guy in glasses since 'Waldo'. (your choice if I mean the character from 'Where's Waldo', or the kid from Van Halen's video 'Hot For Teacher')
I have the previous 5 books. all well-read and loved. But am I going to go buy it at midnight? Am I THAT Big a geek? (those that can answer that question, please don't).
The Answer is: maybe.
I'm not going to Barnes & Noble. It seems that Albertson's is selling the book for almost the same price as B&N, and it's closer and should be less of a headache.
I am in the middle of a book, so I will have to wait to start this one, but I expect to like it.

Well, we have arrived home from vacation in Lake City Colorado, and are really happy to be home. The cats are happy to see us, and we are happy to see them.

Soon we'll be in the new house, and that's goinbg to occupy most of our time.
Wish us luck!
